Our clients are larger well known organisations demanding a capable and trusted partner to solve challenging technical, process and cost concerns.  Our business units (BU’S) are: Procurement & Logistics (PLS), Global Onsite Customer Care (GOCC), Operational Support (OSS), Global Field Engineering Services (GFES), Transformation Services (TS) and Global Client Service Delivery (GCSD).

 

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our team in India. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong, hands-on background in core financial controlling, accounting integrity, and reporting, who also possesses some exposure to commercial finance.

The ideal candidate will lead financial performance management, budgeting, forecasting, balance sheet/P&L management, variance analysis, and internal controls, while acting as a trusted business partner to support commercial decision-making when needed.

 

Responsibilities

Financial Controlling & Governance

  • Lead month-end and year-end financial closing, ensuring complete, accurate, and timely financial reporting in compliance with corporate standards.
  • Manage P&L, balance sheet integrity, cost center accounting, and cash flow analysis.
  • Establish, monitor, and enforce internal financial controls, policies, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast) and highlight key financial trends, risks, and operational opportunities.

 

Forecasting, Planning & Analysis

  • Drive core budgeting, financial forecasting, and long-term financial planning activities.
  • Build and maintain dynamic financial models to evaluate business performance and operational metrics.
  • Provide accurate reporting and analytical insights into overheads, operational expenditure, cost structures, and profitability driver trends.

 

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate closely with regional and global Finance, Operations, Commercial, and Leadership teams.
  • Translate complex accounting and financial operational data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external audit processes.

 

 

Qualifications

Key Attributes & Skills

Language & Communication

  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

Technical Expertise

  • Deep expertise in financial principles, GAAP/IFRS standards, GL accounting, and controlling framework.
  • Strong mastery of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and audit readiness.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and financial modeling; direct experience with enterprise ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of commercial finance, commercial contract structures, and revenue/margin analysis is a plus.

 

Personal Qualities

  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and structured in problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing operational deadlines, and enforce governance under pressure.

 

Mobility

  • Willingness and ability to travel within India and internationally when required.

 

Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CMA, MBA Finance or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Finance, Controlling, FP&A or Business Finance.
  • Experience in a multinational or large-scale organisation is preferred.
  • Experience in commercial finance, commercial controlling, contract review, risk assessment or financial forecasting is an advantage.
