Role overview

We are looking for a strong Infrastructure Project Manager to support the Siemens Energy account. You will lead and coordinate infrastructure and network-related projects across multiple sites, including upgrades, cutovers, new site delivery, and incident-driven site interventions. This is a hands-on role that blends project delivery with on-site infrastructure support in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

Responsibilities

  • On-site network support

    • Provide hands-on support during network upgrades, cutovers, and infrastructure changes.

    • Travel to sites across the UK & Ireland during unplanned outages to support diagnosis, recovery, and service restoration.

    • Support LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi troubleshooting, equipment replacement, patching, cabling, and physical device validation.

    New site design & delivery

    • Work with partners and business leaders to capture requirements for new office and factory networks.

    • Build implementation timelines, create high-level/low-level designs (where required), and gather cost estimates.

    • Project manage network deployments and major changes, maintaining:

      • Risk registers

      • Project plans

      • Delivery trackers

      • Stakeholder updates

    Project delivery & coordination

    • Manage delivery dependencies, milestones, and outcomes across multiple workstreams.

    • Coordinate vendors, partners, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution and handover.

    • Drive governance and documentation to maintain a clear audit trail.

    Operational & stakeholder management

    • Coordinate infrastructure activities across Business, Real Estate, Digital Core / Infrastructure, and external vendors.

    • Communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

    • Lead or support incident management in multi-site / industrial environments.

    • Influence stakeholders and negotiate outage windows to minimise business disruption.

    .

Qualifications

Required experience & skills

  • Proven experience delivering IT infrastructure and/or network projects (multi-site strongly preferred).

  • Strong project management fundamentals: planning, RAID/risk logs, dependency tracking, reporting.

  • Comfortable working on-site and in operational environments (including unplanned outage response).

  • Strong vendor/partner management and coordination skills.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical topics for business audiences.

  • Experience working with LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi environments and physical infrastructure changes (hands-on understanding).

Nice to have

  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, utilities, or energy environments.

  • Familiarity with structured delivery frameworks (Agile/Waterfall/hybrid), ITIL/incident processes, or change management.
