POSITION: Desktop Support Engineer

JOB TYPE: Direct Hire (W2) with NSC Global
START DATE: IMMEDIATELY

Responsibilities

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate records of Starlink devices in the IT Asset Management (ITAM) system.

• Update inventory with additions, changes, and decommissions of devices in ServiceNow

• Perform monthly validation of discovery data from with existing inventory and update AMDB/CMDB

• Coordinate shipping and receiving of Starlink devices to/from various field and office locations.

• Ensure all assets have assigned owners and users; manage asset lifecycle including refresh and disposal

• Generate and respond to inventory reports and audit requests. End-User Support

• Provide deskside and remote support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

• Troubleshoot OS and Software Center issues; escalate to team when needed

• Support device setup, configuration, and deployment for new hires, refreshes, and break/fix scenarios.

• Handle hardware loaner requests and asset retrievals using ServiceNow workflows

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT inventory management and end-user support.
  • Familiarity with ITAM tools, and ServiceNow.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to lift and ship IT equipment as needed.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of basic computer hardware.
  • Experience with desktop operating systems including Microsoft, and Mac OS X
  • Extensive application support experience.
  • Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities.
  • Good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
