We Are Seeking

 

Candidate will have extensive experience of working within an IT purchasing environment within a reseller, distributor or end user environment.

The candidate should also have category management experience in one of the following areas:

 

Indirect spend (facilities, telecoms, logistics, software licensing etc.)

 

Hardware and maintenance spend (for customer resale)

 

Partner Field Services and sub-contractor spend 

 

Knowledge of the IT computer OEMs and networking distribution channel in the UK, US and Europe is a must have requirement.

 

Responsibilities

  Overall Accountability/Responsibilities: 

  • Review all direct spend. Improve margins and reduce costs through smart buying and negotiation.
  • Review and manage all indirect business costs globally. Control spend and reduce costs against budget.
  • Drive spend control throughout the business through initiatives and contract management
  • Analyze overall spend with suppliers and leverage NSC’s global buying power to achieve economies of scale.
  • Implement and Run the RFI and RFP process with the vendors
  • Deliver savings target and report validated savings weekly*
  • Exploit OEM and Supplier discount programmes to optimise saving

 

  • Initial engagement with sales, presales and delivery to shape deal structure for kit, support and partner-based RFP’s/Bids

 

 

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications/Experience:

  • +5 years’ experience in an IT reseller, OEM or distribution environment
  • Extensive Supplier relationship management experience
  • Responding and supporting customer Bid, RFI and RFP processes
  • Commercial/contract negotiation that delivered cost savings (examples)
  • Influence decision-maker
  • Building strong and effective business partnerships (internally and externally)
  • Focus on complex single/multiple commercial projects with varying degrees of value and will require experience in managing engagement from initiation to delivery.
  • Effective engagement with Executive and Senior management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience of Microsoft applications Excel/Word/Power Point
  • Can do / will do attitude

 

Working Hours:

  • 9:00 – 5:30pm
